The foundry specialises in the loss wax technique using ceramic shell moulds to cast art and design work in a variety of metals, which include aluminium, bronze, silver or gold. Advice can be given to ensure the best method for producing metal castings.
The m©@®† foundry has developed specific ceramic shell mould techniques for casting different types of metals into fine art sculpture and functional design pieces.
Depending on the complexity of the work to be undertaken, vacuum and gravity casting techniques are employed to help realize accurate reproduction of the original pattern. Resin and CO2 sand casting processes can also be provided for appropriate types of work.
Different formulations of specific metals can be cast at the studio. These include lead and silica bronzes, sterling and brittania standard silvers, along with gold carat alloys.
